Two guests have the chance to spend a night in his house on Lake Tegernsee, in the Bavarian Alps in southern Germany, and discover memorabilia from Philipp Lahm's illustrious career

One of the most decorated footballers over the last generation is renting out his home on Airbnb - and will personally greet lucky customers.

Philipp Lahm, of Bayern Munich and Germany fame, won all there is to win in club and international football, and now fans can rent out his lakeside home for just £18-a-night, the equivalent of 21 euro - a tribute to Lahm's jersey number at Bayern.

Two guests have the chance to spend a night in his house on Lake Tegernsee, in the Bavarian Alps in southern Germany, and discover memorabilia from Lahm's illustrious career.

During their stay, guests will be personally greeted by the former captain of the 2014 World Cup winning team and enjoy Bavarian hospitality in Lahm's traditional lakeside house.

As a special souvenir, they will receive two signed jerseys. And so that guests can also get a taste of the region's culinary delights, a professional chef will prepare a Bavarian-inspired dinner.

After checking out, guests will go to a Bundesliga game in Munich's Allianz Arena.

Lahm said: "I am very excited to open the doors of our house on Lake Tegernsee and invite guests to experience this special place where we love to spend time with family and friends.

"We can't wait to share the cozy atmosphere of this house and offer our guests a unique experience."

Lahm is best known for his role as captain of Bayern and in playing a crucial role in winning the 2014 World Cup with his country.

Since retiring from professional football in 2017, he has remained actively involved in the industry and organized the UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany as tournament director.

In addition, Lahm has been supporting disadvantaged children and young people through his foundation since 2007, with a focus on education, health and social integration, particularly in Germany and South Africa.

In 2015, he founded Philipp Lahm Holding, which also includes the traditional Schneekoppe company.

With Schneekoppe, he aims to make natural and healthy organic food accessible to a wide audience.

Together with his team, Philipp Lahm promotes a comprehensive health concept that includes physical and mental activity, mindful nutrition and relaxation.
