Liverpool target Luis Diaz has an incredible record in front of goal for Porto in 2021/22 - but how good has he been at putting the ball in the back of the net in previous campaigns?

The 25-year-old has scored 16 times across just 28 appearances in all competitions, netting 14 times in only 18 Primeira Liga outings to send Porto top.

However, fans might wonder how well Diaz has got on during his previous seasons in both South American and European football, as well as at international level with Columbia.

Daily Star Sport has taken a look at just how well Diaz has done in front of goal during his eight senior seasons - including an International Golden Boot.

Diaz enjoyed two seasons with Barranquilla FC in Categoria Primera B, Columbia's second tier.

His local side, having been born in Barrancas, La Guajira, helped him capture the eye of first division outfit Junior, despite not scoring many goals.

The teenager found the net on two occasions during his 21 appearances for his first club in 2016, scoring only once in the same amount of appearances in 2017.

His debut season with the club included an impressive 14 goals and eight assists from 50 fixtures in all competitions, with a further 11 goals and six assists from 47 games in 2020/21.

Diaz has really hit his stride in 21/22, netting 14 goals and grabbing five assists across just 18 league outings, with two goals coming in the Champions League.

Diaz made his Columbia debut during his time at Junior in 2018, playing under Arturo Reyes at the age of just 21 - scoring once from his first 14 encounters across the next year.

After another two appearances without a goal in 2020, he stole the show by ******* the Golden Boot with Lionel Messi after netting four times at the 2021 Copa America.

That brought his total tally for Columbia to seven goals from 31 outings, and his career tally to 71 goals from 306 appearances for club and country.
