As the search for missing mum Victoria Taylor goes into its second week, we look at some of the questions that have arisen since she vanished from her home in Malton, North Yorkshire

Victoria Taylor, a beloved mother, has been missing for over a week, leaving her anxious family and friends with more questions each day. The 34-year-old was last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, on Monday morning around 9am.

Since then, she hasn't made contact with her loved ones. However, police released a CCTV image of Victoria from a BP garage taken two hours after her last sighting, triggering an extensive search of the local area.

On Monday, North Yorkshire Police confirmed another sighting of the nurse at a bus station. As the search enters its second week, we delve into some of the unanswered questions raised so far.

North Yorkshire Police have found two instances where Victoria was captured on CCTV on the Monday before her disappearance. The first was at 11.35am at the BP garage on Welham Road, in the Norton area of Malton.

She was pictured wearing blue jeans and a black Adidas puffa jacket. For several days, this was the last known sighting of her, reports the Mirror.

In a new update, police disclosed that she was seen at 11.53am that same Monday at Malton Bus Station on Railway Street, just 18 minutes after the previous sighting.
These sightings raise several questions - where was she and what was she doing?

Victoria's family are hopeful that one day she will be able to provide answers to these questions.

The CCTV footage only seems to pose more questions. The latest update from North Yorkshire Police has provided some answers, but also raised several new questions. We now know that Victoria was seen at the bus station 18 minutes after leaving the BP garage.

Google Maps indicates that the walk between these two locations takes about eight minutes, which could explain part of the time gap between her sightings. However, this still leaves a 10-minute window unexplained.

The key question remains: why was Victoria at the bus stop on a Monday morning in October?

The police have yet to provide an answer.

In their most recent update, the police investigating Victoria's disappearance stated they were "open minded" as they continue their enquiries.

They have reviewed CCTV footage, conducted extensive investigations, interviewed multiple witnesses and searched both "land and water". Some of Victoria's personal items were found near the River Derwent the day after she disappeared, which is currently the focus of the police investigation.

Despite their efforts, there is still no sign of the well-liked mother. The force stated in their update: "We remain open minded and, whilst the investigation of Victoria's movements has been thorough, we will continue to pursue existing and new lines of enquiry."

"Based on information obtained from these exhaustive enquiries, North Yorkshire Police is satisfied at the current time that there is no information to suggest any form of third-party involvement following the disappearance of Victoria and this remains a missing person case."

What about Victoria's friends, family and interested parties?

A Facebook page was created last week by her family and friends as the main platform for their search efforts. The page has already garnered over 8,000 followers where people can share their thoughts, offer help and support.

Locally, posters are being printed and displayed. Her story has been widely shared.

In essence, her loved ones are doing everything in their power to find her. However, Victoria is still missing.

Her sisters made an emotional appeal last week, urging her to get in touch as police divers continued their search in a river. This followed the discovery of her personal belongings near the River Derwent.

Her sisters, Emma and Heidi, expressed their feelings of sickness, distress and loss.

What about Victoria's partner?

Victoria was reportedly set to marry her partner Matthew Grant Williams, with whom she shares a home and their two-year-old daughter. It was revealed yesterday that he has been subjected to online trolling, with some accusing him of being involved in her disappearance.

A user commented on a public Facebook group aimed at aiding the search, slamming those who targeted her other half: "It's sad to see people pointing the finger at her partner. It's cruel as he is going through enough already without people doing that."

Echoing the sentiment, another pal added: "It really is, he's absolutely devastated."
