Women's football sensation Alisha Lehmann continues to wow her fans on social media - this time by flaunting an entirely different look that left her looking unrecognisable

Alisha Lehmann “looked like a different person” after revealing her stunning new appearance.

The Switzerland international has become a global footballing star during her time at Aston Villa. Lehmann helped Villa to a fifth place finish in the Women’s Super League last season and represented her country at last summer’s Women’s World Cup.

Her growing popularity on social media has turned her into one of the most marketable talents across women’s sports. That is in no small part down to the array of stunning snaps she uploads on Instagram, ranging from gorgeous modelling photos to action shots on the pitch.

Now the 24-year-old has dazzled her 15.4million followers by changing her look entirely. Wearing a black leather top and a Prime sports drink chain, Lehmann posted two pictures on Thursday without her iconic ponytail and makeup.

Instead, her hair, which appeared less blonde than usual, was let down. And gushing fans were left shocked as they took to the comments section to voice their amazement.

One fan wrote: “Is this a different person?” while another commented: “I refuse to believe this is actually you.”

A third added: “She looks like another human being,” and a fourth replied: “I love this look.”

The forward became the first female brand ambassador for sports drink brand Prime in September. After expanding her social media following and becoming the most engaged-with female footballer at the World Cup, she struck up a deal with YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul.

Lehmann posed with the two entrepreneurs as she was unveiled as the latest star to promote their electrolyte drink. According to Nielson Sports, every post made to her army of followers on Instagram is reportedly worth an enormous $305,000 (£250,000).
