Donald Trump has not been seen in public for three days, leading to a surge in the phrase 'Trump is dead' on social media – as eagle eyed sleuths have noticed a few strange details

Eagle-eyed sleuths have suggested that Donald Trump is dead – or at the very least, seriously ill. Social media was sent into overdrive last night after it was revealed that the Pentagon ordered several pizzas during the early hours.

Theorists said this so-called "pizza index" indicates the staff were working late – perhaps dealing with the death of the president. Although not confirmed, Trump's supposedly poor health has been at the centre of speculation for months, leading to wild theories that he could be close to death.

In fact, since assuming office, there have been multiple instances when the 79-year-old president has vanished from the public eye. He failed to make a in-person public address about a school shooting in Minneapolis earlier this week. Many of those currently spreading the conspiracy theory on social media highlight Trump having no diary commitments this weekend.

The Simpsons' creator – which has been favoured by conspiracists since it correctly predicted Super Bowl winners and even Trump's own presidency – even made a suggestion the leader could meet a firey end. Here's everything we know about Trump's 'bad' health...

It appears overnight (August 30) officials at the Pentagon in Washington DC ordered several pizzas. One user on X shared a graph displaying the number of orders and deliveries taken out by several major pizza delivery restaurants.

These branches, including Domino's and Papa Johns, had a spike of orders and deliveries at midnight (August 30). Taking to social media, conspiracy theorists suggested this is proof Donald Trump has passed away.

The theory, which has been gaining popularity online, suggests workers have been stuck in their offices overnight trying to arrange logistics over the supposed death.

The original commenter added: "I was sceptical about all the stuff about trump maybe being dead or like in dire condition but uhhh the pizza index don't lie".

On August 27, Vance was questioned about whether he'd be ready to take Trump's place should a "terrible tragedy" occur. Speaking to USA Today, Vance emphasised the Commander-in-Chief was in excellent health, but acknowledged such a scenario couldn't be dismissed entirely.

"He's the last person making phone calls at night, and he's the first person who wakes up and the first person making phone calls in the morning," Vance said. "Yes, terrible tragedies happen. But I feel very confident the president of the United States is in good shape, is going to serve out the remainder of his term and do great things for the American people.

"And if, God forbid, there's a terrible tragedy, I can't think of better on-the-job training than what I've gotten over the last 200 days."

Trump has also been grappling with health issues of late. In July, the White House acknowledged he suffers from a vein disorder called chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), which results in leg swelling.

The ailment triggers heightened pressure in the veins and can cause swelling alongside ulcers, though it's not considered life-threatening. Prior to Trump's condition being disclosed through official means, images circulated on social media revealed his swollen limbs and fuelled conjecture about his wellbeing.

And earlier this week, what looked like bruising was once more visible on the president's hand as he put pen to paper on an executive order. This followed previous sightings of a bruised hand in a golf clip, whilst another photograph from a separate occasion seemed to reveal thick concealer covering his hand.

Medical professionals suggest the bruising might be linked to a recent cannula procedure - potentially indicating the president had received IV treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

In July, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening was questioned about when the long-running series - now in its 36th season - might conclude. Speaking to Variety, he declared there was "no end in sight" for the programme, but tied its potential finale to a presidential death.

"No, there's no end in sight. We're going to keep going. We're going to go until somebody dies," Groening revealed.

He then remarked: "When you-know-who dies, The Simpsons predicts that there will be dancing in the streets. Except President (J.D.) Vance will ban dancing."

The remarks spread like wildfire across social media, given the programme's notorious track record for allegedly forecasting real-world developments. Certain devotees reckon The Simpsons foretold Trump's political ascension as far back as 2000.

Whilst Trump hasn't been spotted publicly in recent times, he's maintained his presence through his Truth Social platform.

Yesterday saw him pen a lengthy rant regarding the current trade tariff circumstances. He declared "ALL TARIFFS ARE STILL IN EFFECT!" whilst lambasting the "Highly Partisan Appeals Court" following their ruling that most were unlawful.

Trump claimed that rolling back tariffs would "literally destroy the United States of America".

That same day witnessed him posting about Missouri's congressional map redistricting, sharing content boasting his economy was "booming", and paying homage to divisive WWE star Hulk Hogan.
