Viktor Gyokeres has identified a Plan B if he can't force a move from Portuguese giants Sporting CP to Arsenal this summer - with the two sides locked in negotiations

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Viktor Gyokeres this summer - with the Swedish star reportedly keen on the move.

However, negotiations have already been drawn out across the early stages of the transfer window and Gyokeres have identified a potential Plan B if he can't move to north London.

According to The Sun, Gyokeres could head out on loan from Sporting CP if he can't make the move before the end of the summer transfer window. It's the same tactic Victor Osimhen used last summer when his moves to Chelsea and Al-Ahli fell through.

Osimhen moved to Galatasaray on a season-long loan, scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances. And Gyokeres has also been linked with a move to Turkey.

According to the report, Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce could be a potential destination, while Manchester United and Juventus are keeping tabs on the situation.

Gyokeres camp, however, are hoping a deal can be done this summer - as they view this year as the best chance for the Swedish star to secure the biggest move of his career.

The 27-year-old is looking to push the move through and will boycott Sporting's pre-season training as well as reportedly dumping his actress girlfriend to sever ties with Portugal.

Gyokeres' anger reportedly stems from from a belief that Sporting have gone against a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ to allow him to leave this summer for around £60m.

However, Sporting, who have him under contract until 2028, deny the existence of the agreement.

Arsenal and Sporting are currently locked in negotiations for the star - with the Portuguese giants holding out at their £68.9m evaluation of the striker.
