a galera do fórum do clube do hardware a muito tempo que já descobriu como desbloquear esses hds e tornados utilizável quem parou para pesquisar um pouco sabem que realmente é uma tarefa chata descobrir isso, porem achei muito errado ver gente cobrando por esse serviço em um fórum, lugar onde entramos justamente para descobrir e aprender algo a mais, por isso fiz essa conta só para alertados que existe sim um método totalmente funcional e via software para tornar esse hd utilizável, sem realizar qualquer troca da placa do hd vocês só precisam de um aparelho da sky ou outro box qualquer para realizar o procedimento segue o link com o tutorial: http://************/como-desbloquear-hd/1075985/6

the main tools you will need is a working directv dvr in my case a HR22-100 it has a 500gb seagate hdd model ST3500312CS
and HDAT2 bootable cd
these drives are DCO frozen you have to boot the drive up in the dvr so it wakes and unlocks them then do a hotswap meaning leaving power to the drive after it activates then connect the sata connector to a computer and boot the computer with hdat2 cd.
the proceadure:
1: select option 1 from the menu
2: once it goes to a command prompt type HDAT2
3: once HDAT2 has started select the drive model that you are working on and press enter
4: the first thing under the menu you want to do is select "Device Configuration Overlay (DCO) menu"
under there you need to select "Restore" at the bottom of the screen it will prompt you for a Yes/No just hit Y let it do its thing and it should comeback with some code and some words in green.
5: now we need to hit escape till were back to the menu and we need to select "Comands Menu" and hit enter
under comands menu select "commands/feature sets" and hit enter you will see a lot of things in gray and yellow we are only going to touch one thing here and thats the "Power-Up In Standby (PUIS)" we want to disable this by highlighting it and pushing the right arrow then hit the s key it will prompt you for a Y or N ht Y for yes it will say working and then should finish wothout error and turn to dissabled.
now to test to make sure it worked. remove the boot cd turn the computer off. disconnect the drive from the computer now put the drive in the computer and connect to computer sata and computer sata power power on the computer go to bios see if the drive shows its information. if so you can now use the drive like a standard sata drive.
for me what i did was after unlocking the drive i connected it to a computer running windows 7 via usb enclosure/dock and used easus partition to prepare the drive and it is working perfect just like a new 500gb hdd
NOTES and WARNINGS:
the drive MUST maintain power at all times during the proceadure if the drive looses power it will lock and you have to start over. just the nature of the beast
doing this will also make the drive non useable in any directv hd dvr this removes directv's custom firmware codes and flags.
if anyone wants a pdf with step by step pictures and instructions let me know if i was allowed to upload it here i would.

also this should work for any device locked drive it does not even have to be a directv box.

Ja consegui alguns por ttl, com max 232, mas so consegui libertar cerca de 350g, o que já não é mau visto que estavam totalmente perdidos...
cheguei a testar o metodo de ligar os discos ao dvr e sem desligar a alimentação do disco formata-lo com o hdat2, mas penso que me falhou alguma coisa, porque quando o desligo e ligo ele volta a bloquear...
Já alguem conseguiu com este metodo?? é chato pois temos que ter o dvr e o disco, mas s bombar já não é mau...

Arranjei um ST3250310CS que entretanto foi ligado a um pc mas cada vez que tentava formatar nas ferramentas administrativas do windows ou outro programa dava um erro de i/o a dizer que não conseguia aceder aos dados. Entretanto instalei o seatools da seagate em modo dos e diz que o disco está bloqueado. Instalei o mhdd como aqui dizem mas assumo que não consigo fazer mesmo nada antes de o desbloquear, correcto?Nem scans de dados nem format certo?

I used "mhdd" utility which included in "Ultimate boot CD". You can give it a try, it is easy and work.
1) Download Ultimate Boot CD(http://ubcd.sourcefo...t/download.html)
2) Burn it into a Disc and boot it up.
(Use ISO burner. If using windows 7, right click the file and choose "Burn Disc Image")
3) On main menu, choose "HDD" > "Diagnostic" > "MHDD v4.6"
4) You will see a list of harddisk, select a harddisk you want to unlock
5) Type "unlock" and reply "1" for master password
6) Enter the master password.
(If it is wrong, ERR will turns red on the top of the screen, and You have 4 more tries before it powercycle the disk)
7) If it is correct, type "DISPWD" and reply "1"
(There will be a warning if your disk is still locked)
8) Retype the master password again and your disk is unlocked!
(ERR will turn red if the password wrong)
9) Type exit and press "ctrl + alt+ del" to reboot
