Manchester United are aiming to add a new striker to their squad this summer with Ruben Amorim eager to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season

With just three weeks to go until the Premier League season kicks off, Ruben Amorim is busy moulding his new squad.

The Red Devils are keen to bounce back from a lacklustre season that saw them languishing in 15th place in the top-flight. United have roped in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon ahead of their US tour.

They've bolstered their attacking line-up in an attempt to address their goal drought, but they're still on the hunt for a striker. The club has been linked with Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko as they keep their eyes peeled for potential signings.

However, some departures might be necessary before any more deals can be sealed up north. Marcus Rashford has finally left, albeit on loan, and United will be banking on transfer fees to boost their coffers for the final weeks.

Luke Shaw is reportedly 'ready to quit' United and open to hearing offers from other clubs, reports the Mirror.

The 30-year-old defender is said to be aware of 'serious' interest from Saudi Arabia and considering a move in the near future.

Shaw is reportedly aware that his ten-year stint at United could be winding down, with fresh faces Patrick Dorgu and Diego Leon vying for his position. Despite Shaw's hefty £150,000-a-week wages and a history of injuries, Amorim isn't in a hurry to let him go.

A pair of clubs from the Saudi Pro League have shown interest in snapping up Antony from Manchester United. The Brazilian winger was left out of United's pre-season tour squad after spending the latter half of last season on loan at Real Betis.

The La Liga team hasn't yet struck a deal for the ex-Ajax star who shone in La Liga last season. United are keen to secure a permanent exit and transfer fee for the player, but Betis has so far been reluctant to meet United's asking price.

Antony has also been linked with Erik ten Hag's new club Bayer Leverkusen. However, the Dutch coach dismissed the possibility of a move, stating: "We're not interested in him at the moment, but we'll see what happens in the future."

Stance on a new striker

United aren't expected to make an immediate move for a striker after signing Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, according to the Manchester Evening News.`

The Red Devils have been rumoured to be in the market for a new forward, but haven't made any headway as they need to make sales to boost their transfer kitty.

The club's plans hit a snag when Liam Delap opted to sign for Chelsea, snubbing a move to Old Trafford. However, United haven't completely dismissed the idea of bringing in a new striker and are weighing up their options in the upcoming weeks.
