Katarina Johnson-Thompson's Olympics get underway on Thursday - and Daily Star Sport is having a look at her life away from the track and staggering net worth
Katarina Johnson-Thompson has been forced to wait to get her Olympics underway in Paris.
Almost two weeks after the Olympic flame started to burn in the City of Lights - the Liverpudlian is set to start turning the wheels on her golden dream. KJT, 31, will be part of the women's heptathlon - which starts on Thursday (August 8).
And as Johnson-Thompson does her thing at the Stade de France, Daily Star Sport has a look at her life away from the track - from her net worth to her current relationship status.
Back in 2022, Johnson-Thompson was named as the fourth richest British sportswoman under 30-years-old - according to the Heat Rich list. Johnson-Thompson reportedly boasts a net worth of £4.5million, with most of that coming thanks to her partnership with Nike.
The 31-year-old also has partnerships with Barrie Wells Trust, Acuvue, Listening Ear, Bulk Powders and the LFC Foundation.
Speaking of Liverpool - growing in up in the city, KJT is also a massive Reds fan. And there's one player she loves above them all, her close friend Trent Alexander-Arnold.
She told Liverpool's website in 2019: "I can relate to someone like Trent, because when I went to the 2012 Olympics I was sort of like a fan and an athlete simultaneously.
"So I can definitely relate to him, but I can’t imagine what it’s like being a Liverpool supporter my entire life and then being on the pitch playing for them - I don’t know how I’d do it! I love Sadio Mane as well, and I love Mohamed Salah."
Johnson-Thompson's other half is also a Liverpool fan - and the Team GB star is currently dating fellow Olympian and British hurdler Andrew Pozzi.
The pair first started dating in 2018 and following her emotional win in Budapest last summer, Pozzi proudly posted on his Instagram story: "The best all round athlete on the planet. Again."
However, the pair have a long distance relationship, with Pozzi residing in Cardiff while Johnson-Thompson upped sticks to Montpellier, on France’s Mediterranean coast.
“Funnily enough my apartment sits just underneath an Irish pub,” she joked when asked how she watches Liverpool in the French city.
“So that’s where I watched the Champions League final and most of the World Cup. If I’m not too tired after training I’ll wander down by myself - there’s usually some English people in there and that’s where I’ll watch games."
