Arsenal conquista a Supertaça de Inglaterra

O Arsenal conquistou a Supertaça de Inglaterra no desempate por pontapés da marca de grande penalidade. Fábio Vieira teve o remate decisivo.

O fabuloso golo de Cole Palmer (77’) parecia tudo decidir, mas o Arsenal nunca deixou de acreditar e o golo do empate nasceu aos 90+11 minutos, com o belga Trossard a rematar, a bola a desviar em Akanji e a entrar na baliza.

Tudo se decidiu nos penáltis e o mais feliz foi o Arsenal. Com nervos de aço, Fábio Vieira foi chamado a fazer o remate decisivo e não falhou. Marcou com classe e deu o troféu ao Arsenal.

Desde o primeiro minuto, que o Arsenal fez uma pressão altíssima, não deixando o Manchester City construir, não dando espaço nem tempo para pensar aos jogadores de azul vestidos.

O primeiro sinal de perigo do Manchester City acabou por surgir aos 14 minutos, Rodri tem o primeiro remeta perigoso, mas a bola sai um pouco ao lado.

Até que aos 25 minutos aparece uma grande ocasião para o Arsenal: Ben White entra na área pela direita, Havertz remata para grande defesa de Ortega e Martinelli dispara contra a muralha defensiva.

O Arsenal tomou definitivamente conta do jogo, foi-se aproximando da área contrário e por muito pouco não marcou, aos 40 minutos. O passe atrasado de Saka encontrou Martinelli no coração da área, mas mais uma vez Ortega evitou o golo.

Numa espécie de sinal de vida, Rodri por pouco não marcou, procurando fazer um chapéu do meio-campo ao ver Ramsdale adiantado. E logo a seguir foi Álvarez a romper pela direita, mas ao cruzamento tenso para o coração da área ninguém disse presente.

Chegava o intervalo com uma coisa rara: Erling Haaland quase não tocou na bola, não fez um único remate em 45 minutos.

No segundo tempo manteve-se a tendência do jogo, mas foi o City a criar a primeira oportunidade, com Grealish a macar um canto para a cabeça de Stones, que só não marcou porque Ramsdale fez uma grande defesa.

Aos poucos, foi melhorando o Manchester City e do banco saltaram as soluções para garantir a vitória: Foden agitou, De Bruyne deu inteligência à equipa e Palmer criou uma obra de arte, com um golo fabuloso, aos 77 minutos.

Aos 83, Foden teve tudo para ampliar a vantagem, mas desperdiçou e por essa altura já estava o Manchester City confortável no jogo, a dominar a partida. Pouco depois foi Rodri a desviar canto de De Bruyne em mais uma grande defesa do guarda-redes do Arsenal.

Parecia encontrado o vencedor, mas o ASrsenal acreditou sempre que podia chegar ao empate e resolver o jogo no desempate por pontapés da marca de grande penalidade e diga-se que o mais inconformado foi Fábio Vieira, que teve dois cruzamentos perigosos e ganhou o canto que deu o que já parecia um milagre: a bola foi parar a Trossard, que rematou, a bola tabelou no joelho de Akanji e entrou na baliza de Ortega.


Depois, no penáltis, falhou De Bruyne, falhou Rodri e decidiu Fábio Vieira. O primeiro título da temporada é do Arsenal, que teve um português a ser o herói do jogo.
