Champions League draw: Man City's horror play-off plus Liverpool, Arsenal and Villa paths
The Champions League knockout phase play-off draw has been made with Manchester City learning their nightmare opponents while Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa have a route to the final mapped out
Following the knockout phase play-off draw on Friday morning, the opponents for the Premier League clubs are now set out.
Here's the draw in full.
Manchester City vs Real Madrid
Brest vs PSG
Monaco vs Benfica
Juventus vs PSV
AC Milan vs Feyenoord
Celtic vs Bayern Munich
Atalanta vs Club Brugge
Sporting vs Borussia Dortmund
Round of 16 ties:
Liverpool or Barcelona vs Brest/PSG or Monaco/Benfica
Arsenal or Inter Milan vs Juventus/PSV or Feyenoord/AC Milan
Aston Villa or Lille vs Club Brugge/Atalanta or Sporting/Borussia Dortmund
The conclusion of the knockout play-off draw also decided which side of the draw the play-off clubs will appear on. But their round of 16 opponents and the shape of the competition for the quarter-finals and beyond is yet to be finalised.
The already confirmed round of 16 clubs remain waiting to learn which side of the tournament tree they will be on, when the next draw is made on February 21.
